Notice on Data Transfer to Third Countries Not Considered Safe under Data Protection Law and Transfer to US Companies Not Certified under the DPF
We use, among other things, tools from companies based in countries that are not considered safe under data protection law, as well as US tools whose providers are not certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these countries and processed there. We point out that a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot be guaranteed in countries not considered safe under data protection law.
We point out that the USA is generally considered a safe third country with a level of data protection comparable to the EU. A transfer of data to the USA is therefore permissible if the recipient holds a certification under the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF) or has appropriate additional guarantees. Information on transfers to third countries, including data recipients, can be found in this privacy policy.
Recipients of Personal Data
In the course of our business activities, we work with various external parties. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external parties. We only pass on personal data to external parties if this is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract, if we are legally required to do so (e.g. passing on data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the transfer of data. When using processors, we only pass on personal data of our customers on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.
Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of data processing carried out prior to revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to Object to Data Collection in Specific Cases and to Direct Marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
WHERE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE PURPOSE OF ASSERTING, EXERCISING OR DEFENDING LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
WHERE YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged breach. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Access, Rectification and Deletion
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. For this and any other questions on the subject of personal data, you may contact us at any time.
Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been established whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.
SSL and TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, server log files must be collected.
Contact Form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent may be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

If you contact us by e-mail, phone or fax, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.
The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
5. Social Media
X (formerly Twitter)
Functions of the service X (formerly Twitter) are integrated on this website. These functions are offered by the parent company X Corp., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. For data processing by persons living outside the USA, the subsidiary Twitter International Unlimited Company, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, D02 AX07, Ireland, is responsible.
When the social media element is active, a direct connection is established between your terminal device and the X server. X (formerly Twitter) thereby receives information about your visit to this website. By using X (formerly Twitter) and the "Re-Tweet" or "Repost" function, the websites you visit are linked to your X (formerly Twitter) account and made known to other users. We point out that as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and its use by X (formerly Twitter). Further information can be found in X's (formerly Twitter's) privacy policy at: https://x.com/de/privacy.
The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be revoked at any time.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://gdpr.x.com/en/controller-to-controller-transfers.html.
You can change your privacy settings on X (formerly Twitter) in your account settings at https://x.com/settings/account.

Every company certified under the DPF commits to complying with these data protection standards. Further information can be obtained from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/2710.
6. Analytics Tools and Advertising
Matomo
This website uses the open source web analytics service Matomo.
With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyse data about the use of our website by website visitors. This allows us, among other things, to find out when which page views were made and from which region they come. We also collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browsers and operating systems used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).
The use of this analytics tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise both its web offering and its advertising. If appropriate consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent may be revoked at any time.
IP Anonymisation
When analysing with Matomo, we use IP anonymisation. Your IP address is shortened before analysis so that it can no longer be clearly assigned to you.
Cookie-Free Analysis
We have configured Matomo so that Matomo does not store any cookies in your browser.
Hosting
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analytics data remains with us and is not passed on.
